Chapter 60
Jensen kept silent for a long time before he said, “What do you think?”
“She?” Dillan pointed at Gilda and then Jensen. “You?” Dillan murmured.
Finally, he pointed at himself. “T…
Dillan continued in frustration, “What the heck?”
Dillan couldn’t accept the truth. He needed time to process the information.
Kylan touched his nose and leaned close to Dillan, who was completely confused. “Dude, how could you covet your friend’s ex–wife? You’ve gone too far,” said Kylan.
Suddenly, Dillan got angry and said, “They are divorced. They have nothing to do with each other now!”
Dillan then pushed Jensen gently and said honestly, “I didn’t know she was your ex–wife when I met her.”
Gilda walked past Jensen calmly and then heard Jensen’s cold voice from behind, “Won’t you explain it to me?”
“Why should I? Who do you think you are?” Gilda sneered and then left.
“Don’t go! How can you just leave the three of us here?” Dillan shouted at Gilda’s back.
Jensen left with a gloomy face, and Kylan chased after him.
On the way back, Dillan was at a loss and didn’t sleep all night.
The next morning, Dillan broke into Gilda’s office in spite of the stop of her secretary.
Cilda didn’t even bother to raise her eyes and said indifferently, “Why are you here? Didn’t your friends condemn you?”
“I’ve thought about it all night, but I still can’t give up on you.” Dillan stood upright and said seriously, “And… Now I am more certain about my feelings for you!”
Gilda rolled her eyes and asked, “That’s it?”
Wasn’t Dillan supposed to be a superficial person?
“Your previous marriage has long been over. Everyone has their moments of trouble. It was Jensen who didn’t cherish you, and it was right for you to dump him.” Dillan was worried that Gilda would interrupt him, so he finished his words in one breath.
“I’m not interested in you,” Gilda said. She had long been waiting for Dillan to retreat from difficulties, but she didn’t expect that he would become more determined.

Chapter 60
Dillan didn’t give up. “Don’t be so hasty to refuse me! You’re single, and I’m single. Although…
Gilda chuckled and glanced at the tablet in her hand, asking. “Although what?”
“Well, it’s a long story. Dillan sat on the chair in distress. “Since we’re talking about this, I won’t hide my identity.
I’m the CEO of Miller Corporation. I came to Glory Corporation only to pursue you, Dillan confessed.
Gilda nodded and said, “I know.”
Dillan was shocked for a few seconds. Yet on second thought, he believed that Gilda must have investigated him before he joined the company since she was such a clever person.
“Then do you know I have an engagement that I can’t get rid of? I’ve tried every way, but I failed, Dillan asked.
Gilda nodded again and said, “I’ve heard about it.”
Dillan looked distressed and said, “Well, your boss’s sister is my fiancée. She has the same name as you.”
“Do we? Then why don’t you suspect that I am her? Gilda asked slowly.
“You can’t be her. I bet that she is an ugly woman with acne all over her face. You’re as beautiful as a fairy, but she’s as hideous as a ghost,” Dillan said.
Gilda narrowed her eyes and gritted her teeth, saying word by word, “Really? What are you going to do
then?
“Don’t worry!” Suddenly, Dillan propped his hands against the desk, leaned over to Gilda, and said sincerely, “I won’t marry that Ms. Lynch. Just wait for me. I will talk with the Lynch family about breaking off the engagement right now. I won’t waste our time.”
Gilda held back the urge to laugh and suddenly smiled, asking, “Aren’t you afraid that Ms. Lynch will get even with you for this?”
“Why should I be afraid of that ugly woman?” Dillan said.
