I am the ruler of all novel (Kingsley) novel Chapter 340

Chapter 340
Fortunately, Kingsley reacted fast, so he managed to pull away in time to dodge her dagger!
Otherwise, he would have probably been pierced by the sharp throwing knife!
Gulp!
Kevin swallowed hard and stuttered, “T-This throwing knife is specially designed to break windows… Miss Langley surely is gentle and elegant…”
Even though the two talked and drank quietly earlier, they were still caught by Serena’s sharp ear!
When Serena heard that someone else was in the bar, she instantly threw a double-bladed throwing knife through the broken window and attacked them.
Just as she fished out a throwing knife from her waist and was about to throw another, Kingsley shouted loudly, “Serena! Serena! It’s me! Don’t attack!”
Hearing Kingsley’s voice, Serena was slightly startled.
In an instant, her entire body relaxed.
Her eyes quickly turned slightly red…
He took Kevin out of the bar and complained intentionally, “Serena, don’t you check whether it’s an enemy or a friend before you attack?! If I hadn’t reacted quick enough, I would have died in your hands just like Xanxus did!”
Serena offered him a smile. “Have you forgotten our agreement on a hundred times of assassination? Congratulations, King, you’ve managed to escape disaster again. You have ninety-seven chances left!”
Kingsley went speechless upon hearing that.
Even Kevin fell into an awkward silence.
“Cough…” Kingsley cleared his throat embarrassedly. “We have outsiders here. Please don’t call me King…”
“Sure.” Serena’s charming eyes flashed a hint of inquiry. “Then, tell me. Why are you here?”
Kingsley scratched his head and blurted a half-lie, “I… I’m friends with Captain Leonard. I heard that he came here today for a mission, so I tagged along to watch the fun.”
Serena frowned slightly and questioned, “But I heard from Paige that you came to Sunshine Casino last night and said something in the lines of wanting to help me settle Xanxus!”
“I…” Kingsley groaned and changed the subject.
“Actually, your mission this time is a trap set up by Tyler Jovovich from Spearhead Group. After I heard about it from him, I rushed over to save you. I didn’t expect to meet my old friend, Captain Leonard, here! He’s on a mission in Diosna City, so I just thought of using this excuse to win your favor by settling Xanxus!”
Kingsley’s explanation could be said to be full of loopholes.
However, Serena, who was involved in the situation, was quite puzzled to hear that, but she chose to believe most of his words. She even shifted her attention to Tyler.
“Did you just say… that this mission was a trap set up by Tyler Jovovich? Nancy Stewart’s fiancé?!”
“That’s right.” Kingsley nodded. “After the dōjō class reunion, he started hating you. He contacted one of Xanxus’ subordinates, sent two boxes of explosives to him, and set up this trap for you.”
Hearing Kingsley’s words, Serena quickly pulled a gloomy face. “Tyler Jovovich is such a deceiving person! I’m going to show him what it means to regret his own actions once I return to Cleapolis this time!”
Kingsley chuckled, “I knew you would say that, Serena, so I saved the killing job for you! You should kill him with your own hands when you return!”
“What do you mean? Did you arrest him?” Serena was slightly surprised to hear that.
“As far as I know, Spearhead Group is regarded as a first-class corporation in Cleapolis. If you arrested their young master, wouldn’t they come for you?”
“Spearhead Group has gone bankrupt!” declared Kingsley. “They resold munitions, so they were punished by the military!”
Hearing that, she finally released her furrowed brows. “That’s what they deserve.”
Saying that, she looked back at Xanxus’ lifeless body and uttered, “My mission is over. Do you want to come back to Cleapolis with me?”
“Sure. I’ll come with you.”
Kingsley had just finished his sentence when his phone rang. The screen showed that the caller was Lancer.
Kingsley then excused himself to a corner to answer the phone. “What’s the matter?”
