After Sandy took her seat, she handed a pair of chopsticks to Sandy and helped her pick up some food. "Let's eat something first. You're not alone."
Sandy was indeed hungry. "Thank you, Yanis."
Sandy discreetly handed Sandy a red envelope. "This is for you. I wasn't sure what gift to get, and with Bonnie and I being busy with the shop recently, I didn't have time to go out and shop. Buy whatever you want."
Sandy looked at the red envelope Yanis handed her. "Yanis, you really don't need to do this. I..."
"What's the matter? You can accept things from Anthony, so am I too much of a hot potato?" Yanis interrupted Sandy in a soft voice.
Before Sandy could finish her sentence, Yanis's soft interruption cut in. Hearing Yanis's words, Sandy gave in and accepted the envelope. "Okay, I guess I'm about to become a wealthy woman now, worth millions."
Yanis smiled and continued, "So, we'll be counting on you to support us in the future."
Sandy nodded. "That's definitely not a problem."
"Come on, eat something quickly. Otherwise, Brandon will start complaining that he's hungry." Stella urged Sandy to eat, as she hadn't had much to eat since morning.
After all, when eating together, the nutrients and sustenance needed to be shared between two people.
Sandy agreed and began to eat.
"Sandy."
Just as Sandy had taken a few bites, someone called out her name.
Sandy paused and turned to look, momentarily failing to recognize the person.
"Why, don't recognize me?"
Sandy almost wanted to nod. Even though she had invited people, the invitations were sent out by Jones. She had been told who was invited, but she hadn't paid much attention to what they looked like. After all, even if they had acted together, it might have been just for a scene or two. So not remembering what they looked like was quite normal.
"Gloria Yeates."
As Sandy was racking her brain, Jones came over from the side. "Oh, you're here. I was just looking for you."
Sandy's reflexes were quick. After Jones arrived, she smiled at Gloria. "How could I not recognize you?"
Gloria looked at Sandy and smiled. "I really didn't expect you to invite me to your wedding."
Sandy smiled warmly. "I wanted an extra blessing."
Gloria smiled gently. "Congratulations. I wish you a happy and fulfilling life."
Sandy stood up and clinked her juice glass with Gloria's. "Thank you."
After exchanging pleasantries, Gloria returned to her seat, as she had only come to convey her blessings.
Once Gloria had left, Jones heaved a sigh of relief. "You scared me there. I thought she was looking for trouble."
Sandy turned to Jones. "Why would she want trouble? Did I offend her in the past?"
Jones's response came with a chuckle. "Miss Thompson, you're really forgetful. Remember when you two acted together? You had people give her a hard time by intentionally messing up takes in cold water."
Sandy sighed. "Was I that bad back then?"
"Oh yes, you were a bit bad."
Sandy chuckled dryly. "Should I apologize to her? Blame it on my youthful recklessness?"
Jones rolled his eyes, speechless. "Just eat your food. When we meet the people over there later, I'll help you introduce them. You don't want them to attend your wedding while you can't recognize them, right? You'll end up becoming a laughingstock when you return to the industry in the future."
Sandy grinned. "Fine."
Stella glanced at Sandy and asked quietly, "Are you planning to return to the entertainment industry?"
"Of course. I've discussed it with Brandon. After we have the baby and I'm in good shape, I'll make a comeback."
Sandy currently had no intention of leaving the industry.
