Chapter 548 Amelia, Let Me Hug You Again
Amelia was on IV drips for a few more days in the hospital, and with James by her side, taking meticulous care of her.
On the day she was discharged from the hospital, James couldn’t hold on anymore and had almost collapsed to the ground while she was in the bathroom washing herself up.
At the sight of the scene, the terrified bodyguards standing at the door rushed in to hold him up. “Mr. Evans, are you alright?”
James pushed the bodyguard away to lean against the wall with one hand, stabilizing his figure, as he ordered in a cold voice, “Go get the car.”
The bodyguard was a little worried about him, but he was in no place to defy Mr. Evans’ orders, so he had no choice but to turn around and walk out of the ward.
James settled onto the sofa, propped his forehead with one hand, and rubbed his aching temples.
When Amelia exited the bathroom, she saw him sitting still with his eyes closed, looking unwell.
With her clothes in hand, she walked towards him and saw him opening his eyes before she could even ask.

Amelia nodded and gave him another look before asking, “Do you need the doctor?”
James waved his hand to refuse. “No need…”
After his voice trailed away, he closed his dull hawk-eyes.
After a few seconds of hesitation, Amelia turned around and packed up her clothes.
Not long after, the bodyguard showed up. “Mr. Evans, the car is ready.”
James opened his eyes once more and gave the bodyguards another look, motioning for the bodyguard to come and help him up.
The bodyguard who had stayed by his side for some time understood it immediately and strode forward to offer his assistance.
With the support of his bodyguards, James got up from the sofa to stabilize his figure before walking toward Amelia whose back was facing him.
“Amelia, are you ready?”

Before his hand could touch her, he paused, allowing Amelia’s fine hair to brush across his fingertips along the wind…
He was eager to hold firmly onto love and the woman, but he dared not do so, for fear that if he did, the wind would snatch him of his beloved, just like how it was for him right then.
The glaring sunlight seeped in, shining on his eyes. He let go of his hands and covered his pink-rimmed eyes.
The car soon arrived at the entrance of the villa. James didn’t open the door for her. Instead, he said, “Amelia, I’ll be waiting for you.”
Amelia turned her head in response, opened the car door and got out of the car, walking towards the villa.
