James
“Amelia, what’s this…”
She didn’t notice that her neck was full of hickeys. When she saw the shock in Eva’s eyes, she came to her senses.
She quickly covered her neck with her hand and lowered her head awkwardly.
“I…”
“Did Mr. Harris force you?”
She remembered how Mr. Harris looked at Amelia as if looking at prey.
Yesterday, Eva wanted to remind Amelia, but she was busy with the wedding and caring for Daniel’s relatives, so she didn’t have
time to talk to her.
Now that she saw Amelia return like this, she was even more suspicious that Mr. Harris had bullied Amelia.
“Amelia, tell me the truth. If he forces you, I’ll fight him to the death!”
As soon as Eva thought of Amelia being forced by a creepy man,
she became furious and rolled up her sleeves, ready to rush into the kitchen and grab a knife.
Amelia hurriedly stopped her. “Eva, it’s not Mr. Harris.”
Eva paused. “Who was it?”
This kind of thing, Amelia really didn’t know how to say it.
Seeing that she wanted to say something but stopped on second thought, Eva suddenly understood.
“Have you reconciled with James again?”
Several times before, when Amelia came back from James, her skin was bruised and purple.
Eva thought it was James who did it. After all, that man had always been so cruel to Amelia.
