Chapter 894 Why Do You Call Me Sister

“Where is she?” he asked, his voice cold and tinged with suppressed anger.
Emelyn shuddered involuntarily, not out of fear of James, but out
of guilt for causing Amelia’s disappearance.
“She… jumped into the sea,” she replied. James, tall and imposing, froze as if he had misheard her.
He looked at Emelyn in disbelief. “What did you say?”
On the other side of the shore, Herb pulled Amelia to the beach
with all his might. Amelia choked on seawater and coughed incessantly as soon as she reached the shore.
Herb, exhausted from the effort, collapsed on the sand and
gasped for air. After they both recovered for a while, Herb sat up
and turned to look at Amelia.
“If you can’t run away. You should have asked me for help instead
of jumping into the sea.”
If he hadn’t known how to swim, she would have drowned.

Amelia covered her aching heart with her hand and didn’t look up. “You’re Emelyn’s friend. You wouldn’t help me…”
“Sister, if you don’t ask me, how do you know I won’t help?”
When she heard the word “sister,” Amelia’s fingers twisted her clothes, and she suddenly stopped. She slowly raised her head
and looked at Herb…
Under the moonlight, the man’s features were deep and clear. Although he was soaked through, it didn’t affect his elegant
demeanor.
Amelia stared at his face and asked him, “Why do you call me
sister?”
Herb raised his eyebrows and leaned back on his hands. “It’s just a title, and besides, I’m only twenty years old. You can’t be younger than me.”
Although it was just a title, Amelia felt a strange sense of
familiarity, as if the person sitting on the beach was really her younger brother.

Chapter 895 Frightened
Amelia thought for a moment and asked him, “Your last name is Clark, do you know…”
Skender Clark?
Before she could finish the words, Herb interrupted her, “I’ll take
you back.”
Amelia frowned and looked at him, “It is not easy for me to
escape, why do I have to go back?”
