James walked around her, opened the door of the driver’s seat, and went straight in.
He lowered his eyes and started the car. He turned the steering wheel with one hand and reversed the vehicle.
James didn’t even spare her a glance as he drove the sports car out of the parking lot quickly.
The moment he left, Amelia’s tensed body completely relaxed.
She felt that she was a bit ridiculous. She was actually overthinking again.
She suppressed her disappointment and walked up to the seven–seater business car.
After getting in, she started the car and drove straight to the airport.
It had been raining cats and dogs outside in the past few days. The weather reminded Amelia of that night five years ago.
That was the last night she wanted to recall, but when she thought of the person she was about to see, the memories of the past poured into her mind.
That night, it was also raining heavily. It was so dark that the street lamps could not illuminate the small road.
The young man carried her on his back and walked back home.
However, she was very insensible. She struggled and refused to let the young man carry her, so the young man could only put her down helplessly.
