In her anger, she wanted to directly reject the call. However, seeing the number she didn’t reject it and took two deep breaths.

His tone wasn’t too serious but his voice had no trace of emotion. For a while, Johanna couldn’t figure out whether Andy was angry or not.

Andy frowned, “Johanna, I am not a fool.”

When his cold words passed through the phone into her ears, Johanna froze suddenly as if a bucket of ice cold water had just been poured over her head. She felt extremely cold in her heart.

She quickly reacted and apologized in a low and sincere voice, “I am sorry, Mr. Clark. I was irritated at that moment so I sent out that message.”

“Okay.” Andy replied, his voice was void of emotions, “Don’t do it again.”

“I won’t! This will never happen again!” Johanna promised again and again.

“There is an end of the year party in the evening, you will go with me. I will send the dress to you by someone.”

Hearing what Andy said, Johanna inwardly let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, Andy didn’t hate her yet, so she couldn’t be so impulsive in the future.

Andy hung up the phone. He suddenly felt really fed up.

When he came out of the bedroom, Sophia and Lincoln were playing with the puppy.

“Snoozer, I really miss Mommy. Do you miss Mommy?” Sophia asked holding the puppy’s head.

The puppy couldn’t understand what she was saying, so it just barked twice.

“I knew it, Snoozer. You miss Mommy too.” Sophia made up herself.

Lincoln was watching over the puppy so Sophia wouldn’t accidentally hurt it. He smiled helplessly when he heard her say that.

“Snoozer can’t understand what you are saying.”

Sophia defended, “She does. Snoozer and I understand each other. I heard she say that she misses Mommy.”

Lincoln had no way to make her understand so he said helplessly, “Okay, you are right!”

Andy was standing at the corner of the stairs. As his deep eyes scanned the scene, a subtle smile evoked on the corners of his mouth.

“Woof woof woof…”

The puppy in Sophia’s arms suddenly barked excitedly at Andy.

“Daddy.” Sophia shouted.

Andy went down the stairs and squatted in front of Sophia, “Come here, let me hug you.”

Sophia did not move. Her clear eyes stared straight at Andy in a daze as if she was not used to his sudden appearance.

Lincoln besides her drove the puppy out of the room and watched Andy with a trace of surprise in his eyes.

Sophia didn’t move and Andy’s outstretched hands froze in place.

After a while, he retracted them.

It turned out that Sophia had also alienated him.

These were his own biological children.

Andy lowered his head and smiled mockingly at himself. He was quite a failure.

Hudson bustled into the room and said as soon as he saw Andy, “Mr. Clark, what you asked me to investigate yesterday has already been concluded.”
