I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 118

Chapter 118 Discussion

The day after, Lauren couldn't reach Benjamin at all, leaving her with an eerie sense of insecurity that grew more pronounced with each passing moment.

It was 10 p.m., and Benjamin leaned back in the private room of the club. Curtis had just finished his social obligations and rushed over to report on Lauren's situation.

"Mr. Martin, Lauren refused to let me accompany her to the therapist. She insisted on having you by her side. She probably tried to contact you earlier."

Benjamin waved his hand, signaling for Curtis to leave.

Once Curtis exited the room, Larry, with half-closed eyes, looked at Benjamin and asked, "What's going on between you and Lauren? Why is it still so complicated?"

Benjamin remained silent.

Larry continued, "Benjamin, what are you thinking? Even if Harper goes to the hospital for a check-up today, who knows, she might be pregnant next time. Would you still maintain your current relationship with Lauren even if she's pregnant?"

With a cold snort, Benjamin responded in a calm tone, "Pregnant? Do you know what she said to me today? She said I could find a way to make her pregnant, but she also has ways to kick the child out of her belly. If she can say such things, what else can't she do?"

Larry was slightly taken aback. He thought, "If Harry and Felix were here tonight, they would probably be shocked beyond words.

Benjamin's words sounded like those of a resentful husband."

Larry extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray and lit another one before smiling, "So, now it's you wanting a child and her not wanting one?"

Benjamin remained silent, his eyes exuding a sense of detachment.
