I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 135

Chapter 135 Admiration

Harper furrowed her brows lightly, saying, "You're overthinking it. I'm just going out for a walk. I've been cooped up at home doing nothing for two days."

She didn't need the exercise, but her baby could use some fresh air.

Of course, she didn't say that to Benjamin.

Benjamin scrutinized her expression and gaze, then replied the next moment, "Then let's go."

Harper withdrew her gaze, then opened the door and walked out.

To her surprise, Benjamin followed her out and closed the door behind him before she could say anything.

Harper looked at him puzzled. Before she could speak, she heard his deep voice. "Aren't we going for a walk? Let's go."

She was rendered speechless.

She furrowed her brows as he walked over to press the elevator button.

Harper strolled over to stand beside him, asking softly, "Are you coming too?"

"Can't I?"

"That's not what I meant."

She pressed her lips, not saying anything more.

The two rode the elevator downstairs and walked along the apartment to the nearby lake. The evening breeze was slightly chilly but oddly refreshing.

They walked side by side, neither of them breaking the silence.

As the sky gradually darkened, they passed by a nearby supermarket. Harper looked at Benjamin and said, "I want to buy something. Could you wait here for a bit if you don't want to come in?"

"Let's go together," he said lightly and led the way.

Harper was a bit surprised but hurried to catch up.
