I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 146

Chapter 146 Do You Love Him?

Lily said expressionlessly, "Later? Maybe we'll go shopping later. I've had my eye on a few jewelry pieces, but my money's been tight lately..."

The other person probably said something satisfying to Lily as she smiled, "Alright, I'll reluctantly accept it then. We'll talk later, okay?"

The call ended, and Lily put down her phone, a lingering smile on her face. She looked at Harper and finally broached the topic she wanted to discuss today, asking in a low voice, "Harper, are you still comfortable living where you moved?"

Harper met Lily's eyes. It had been several days since she moved out, and it seemed impossible for them not to notice, but neither Paul nor Lily had asked her directly, so she hadn't brought it up.

At this moment, facing Lily's question, she felt a bit at a loss.

She lightly bit her lip and asked, "Lily, will you and Paul blame me?"

"Of course not. Why would you even think that? Have I been too hard on you?" Lily smiled gently, her words carrying warmth.

Harper shook her head. "No. You've always been the best to me."

"You dare say that in front of Paul?" Lily teased her.

Harper stuck out her tongue mischievously and replied, "Even though the place I'm living in now is smaller, and I have to do everything myself, it's not too bad. I got used to living alone when I was in college, so it's fine."

Lily nodded lightly and asked, "Did Benjamin do something to make you angry and cross your bottom line? That's why you moved out?"

"No." Harper lightly pressed her lips and replied calmly, "I just felt like we both needed some time to cool off."

"Just to cool off?"

Harper fell silent, furrowing her brows as she glanced at Lily involuntarily.

Lily also gazed at her, her eyes filled with concern. "Harper, tell me the truth, do you really not want to be with Benjamin anymore? Do you want a divorce?"
