Chapter 181 Spare Me

Harper pressed her lips together and said, "I'm afraid I'll dirty your ears if I tell you, so I'd rather not."

Annie blinked and smiled, "Harper, you guys didn't have sex in the car, did you?"

Harper's expression froze. "Stop talking nonsense."

"Nonsense? If not, why won't you tell me?"

"You'll be out sleeping on the porch tonight if you keep talking nonsense!"

"Harper, are you shy? Do you want to destroy me as the most direct witness?"

Harper glanced at Annie, not wanting to explain anything more because it wouldn't help. She just said calmly, "I just wanted to tell you not to influence my baby."

Annie shut up about it then.

The two of them ate casually at home for dinner. But Annie woke up hungry in the middle of the night. Because Harper was pregnant, Annie didn't ask Harper to get up and cook for her. And she didn't know how to cook herself, so she had to order takeout.

She had thought it was a normal thing to eat takeout and go to bed, but she didn't expect her to be in the hospital with gastroenteritis before dawn.

Looking at her face pale from the pain and unable to straighten her back, Harper said with helplessness, "That's what happens when a person eats food in secret. So don't you ever do anything like that again."

Annie said bitterly, "Stop blaming me. For the sake of the price I've paid, spare me."

Despite what Harper said, she took good care of Annie. There were no available beds in the emergency area of the hospital, so she had to sit with Annie on a chair in the corridor to get an infusion.

They waited until the following day to get hospitalized. After sending Annie back to her ward to rest, Harper went to the doctor to prescribe the medication to give to Annie later.

She went to pay the bill after prescribing the medication, yawning with a sleepy face because she was a bit tired after staying up all night, not even noticing that a man and a woman were walking towards her.
