I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 198

Chapter 198 Intentional Injury

"I'm all right. I'll go back later."

She didn't say anything. Her car wasn't seriously damaged, so she drove to the hospital alone.

She contacted Julie and explained the situation on the way. She had a simple examination. Although the results would not come out until half an hour later, with Julie around, the doctor immediately informed her of the results.

Everything was fine and the baby was strong. Harper just got a fright slightly. She needed to have a good rest in the next few days. If there were no problems within three days, it would be fine.

Harper was greatly relieved to know the results.

But who was the person following her tonight?

Julie was also worried. "Why did you drive so carelessly?"

Harper smiled slightly and shook her head. "Maybe because I missed you and wanted to come over to see you."

"Don't do it again. If you miss me, just invite me to dinner. You treat me."

Harper smiled and said, "Okay, I'll treat you."

Because Julie had to work overtime, she just accompanied Harper to the parking lot and then returned to the hospital.

Harper was sitting in the car. She was not in a hurry to drive, and she just kept recalling recent events. She had never offended anyone, and she had conflicts with only several persons at most.

But she ruled out Lauren first. Although Lauren wanted her to divorce Benjamin and had caused many things to confuse right and wrong and to influence public opinion, she didn't have the guts to do such a thing that was harmful to her. After all, if something happened to her, Lauren would be the first person to be suspected.

Then only Summit Realty could be suspected.

Harper narrowed her eyes slightly, then picked up her cell phone and called Edward directly.

She had his cell phone number in their last meeting. Now it came in handy.

Edward answered the phone and Harper got straight to the point. "Mr. Wilson, I know that the project has caused a lot of losses to Summit Realty, but I also suffered losses. If you think you can restart the project by threatening me, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. After all, I don't play an important role. If you do this, the project won't be restarted, but you will be charged with intentional injury."
