She denied firmly, "I haven't told anyone."
Most importantly, she didn't take it seriously.
With a straight face, she was uneasy. "Benjamin, do you suspect that someone stole the surveillance backend from me?"
"No. I'm certain about it," Benjamin said bluntly and patiently analyzed. "You're aware of the surveillance camera placements, yet your indifference suggests you didn't anticipate future mishaps. However, others besides you could also be aware of this. The leak may not necessarily originate from you. It could have come directly from the installation workers at the construction site."
Harper carefully recalled it in her mind.
She had really never mentioned it to anybody, not even to Annie.
Throughout the years, it had become her habit to refrain from discussing anything unrelated to them. This practice stemmed from certain professional qualities inherent in her work.
Harper nodded and understood this possibility.
On the surface, it appeared she was acquainted with the camera locations. However, when seeking this information, they would likely discover it through alternative channels and methods.
But Harper wondered who wanted to do this.
The culprit must be more or less familiar with some of the things and habits between her and Benjamin.
Seeing Harper lost in thought, Benjamin raised his hand and gently stroked her cheek, whispering. "Don't overthink. I shared this with you to prevent you from hearing it from other people. Now, accompany me to have lunch, okay?"
Harper looked at him and nodded.
She sighed silently and said, "My grandmother is probably going to have an operation in a few days. Hearing about this accident has really shaken her up. Not sure of how to explain it to her, I didn't visit her today, for fear she would worry."
"It's okay. I'll call her later to explain."
Harper smiled and nodded.
The Martin Group received increasing attention, but the reporters couldn't get any clues from Benjamin and Harper, and there were bodyguards following them all the time, so they changed the focus.
They tried their best to get first-hand information.
Wanda was scheduled for surgery, prompting Lauren, being a dutiful daughter, to naturally come over.
After the training in the afternoon, she immediately asked Rue to drive her to the hospital.
When Lauren arrived at the hospital, some reporters knew about it somehow. They waited at the entrance of the hospital. Seeing her walking out, they rushed up to her at once.
"Excuse me, Ms. Davis, do you have any comments regarding the recent accident involving the Martin Group?"
