The investigation suggested there was a transfer record of three million dollars in Mark's wife's bank account.

However, they informed only the deceased's parents and wife that there were merely two million dollars. Because of Mark's intervention, they received half a million dollars. Upon completion of the affair, an additional one million dollars would be available, but only Mark was privy to the exact amount.

Following the interrogation, the deceased's wife fervently prayed for leniency from the Martin Group, considering their children's welfare. They didn't seek compensation but earnestly hoped the Martin Group wouldn't hold them accountable.

Curtis was fully involved in the entire process. Faced with the pleas of the deceased's family, Curtis immediately asked Benjamin for instructions. "Mr. Martin, do you think we should pursue their liability?"

After a brief pause, Benjamin said indifferently, "Allow them to face media interviews and disclose everything. While they, as direct relatives, may not have orchestrated this, entertaining such thoughts implied the potential success once the Martin Group compromised. Thus, they must face consequences. Regarding compensation, their rejection is their affair. Given that the incident occurred on Martin Group's territory, let the police decide the fitting compensation."

Mark, being the mastermind behind this incident, would inevitably take the blame.

But before that, with the desire to extract information from him, Benjamin thought for a few seconds and said to Curtis, "Find a way to get him out."

Curtis frowned slightly and hesitated for a moment. Only after coming to his senses did he grasp Benjamin's intention.

Benjamin had to remove Mark from the police station to obtain valuable details. Otherwise, Mark would remain tight-lipped in front of the authorities.

Coming out of the interrogation room, Curtis said to Owen, "Officer Conrad, Mr. Martin wants to take Mark out of here for two days."

Owen was embarrassed. "Mr. Yost, it's inappropriate."

Curtis simply smiled. Leaning in, he whispered something into Owen's ear. Owen narrowed his eyes and promptly agreed. "No more than two days. He must return to the police station within that time frame. Otherwise, we won't be able to explain it to the public."

"Don't worry. I promise you."

Curtis nodded.

Then, Owen arranged a car to take Mark to the address left by Curtis.

After the arrangements were made, Curtis came out of the police station and got into the car.

He said to Benjamin, "Mr. Martin, everything has been settled."

"Well, let's go straight there!"

"Okay."

Curtis stepped on the accelerator and drove directly away from the police station.

On the way, Curtis received a call from the individual he had tasked with uncovering the person behind the supportive statements.

After hanging up, he looked at Benjamin through the rearview mirror and murmured, "Mr. Martin, I've sent someone to reach out to several of our partner companies regarding the online support. They've all denied any knowledge of the matter and claimed the statements were issued by their bosses."

It was so mysterious that Benjamin couldn't help but be suspicious.

At the time, it appeared to be a favorable development, advantageous for the Martin Group. It bolstered the company's reputation and promised significant assistance in future endeavors.

However, the Martin Group did not need to rely on any one company or celebrity to become stronger. If it were related to dozens of companies, the meaning would be different.

Getting no response from Benjamin, Curtis asked, "Mr. Martin, do you think it could be Sir Martin's efforts?"
