I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 533

Chapter 533 An Olive Branch

The internet is a vast world where news, once fermented, becomes common knowledge.

Annie woke up early to a flood of notifications, compounded by Sophia's constant calls. She knew the details without even checking the trending searches.

She was stunned for a few minutes, unable to calm her mind. Although Benjamin was no one to her and had no direct connection, he was involved with Harper.

Harper was the most important person to her, more than anyone else.

So, she couldn't stand it, nor could she pretend nothing had happened.

Up to this point, Harper had been missing for five days.

Before this incident, she might have been able to hold back, for Harper's safety, to keep him from being disturbed by Frank. But now, she couldn't restrain herself.

Annie got out of bed with a blank expression, freshened up, changed clothes, and then left her apartment.

She drove aimlessly through the streets, eventually parking her car in front of the Ellison Group building.

Sitting in her car, she pondered in silence for a long time before finally forcing herself to open the door and get out.

It took a lot of courage for her to walk into the Ellison Group's building.

Annie approached the reception desk and explained her visit, to which the receptionist said, "I'm sorry, but you might not be able to see Mr. Ellison without an appointment."

"Could you call him for me? Tell him Ms. Jones is here; I think he'll want to see me."

Annie smiled sweetly. Being beautiful and charming, she quickly won over the receptionist.

The receptionist then called the secretary's office and relayed her message. The secretary was quite shocked but immediately went to knock on the conference room door, whispering to Larry, "Mr. Ellison, Ms. Jones is here downstairs, wanting to see you. What do you say?"

Larry was momentarily stunned, a look of surprise filling his eyes before he quickly got up and headed out.

The meeting was abruptly interrupted, and everyone turned to Larry in surprise. The secretary quickly spoke up, "Let's take a break, everyone. Mr. Ellison has an urgent matter to attend to."
