I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin) novel Chapter 575

Chapter 575 Stubborn

"What Larry? I'm just speaking from my own feelings, don't make random assumptions," Annie immediately waved her hand, denying it with a look of resistance as if she heard something filthy.

However, Harper caught her subtle emotional change.

Harper looked at her calmly, her voice devoid of any fluctuation as she replied, "Maybe, but he hasn't discussed this topic with me."

"But don't men prefer sons? Even though they say they love daughters as if they were lovers from the past life, they still tend to favor boys more, right?"

"Maybe, but he hasn't said it before."

Annie said, "It's your first child. So whether it's a boy or a girl, it's the same. In families like Benjamin's, they should at least have three children, right?"

Harper was slightly startled, her cheeks suddenly flushed with warmth. When she met Annie's eyes, she found the latter staring at her with a sly, faint smile.

Harper pursed her lips lightly and asked, "And what about you? If you were to have children with Larry, how many would you want?"

"Why would I have children with Larry? I wouldn't want to." Annie immediately refused, then reminded Harper, "And also, you're not allowed to talk anymore."

Harper smiled faintly but didn't say anything more.

But observers were clear-minded; ever since Larry took Annie to the villa to see her, she could tell that Larry still had feelings for Annie.

However, this was their own business, and as Annie's best friend, she only occasionally teased Annie about it.

Harper and Annie left the office around five in the afternoon.

Because Harper hadn't been staying in the apartment for a few days, and Annie hadn't cooked for herself, there was basically nothing to eat at home. Annie suggested, "Let's eat out before going back? What do you want to eat now?"

"Let's have fondue; I've been craving it."

"Fondue is fine, but since my godchild is in your belly, we won't have anything spicy. I'll take you to eat something light. How about that?"

Though reluctant, Harper was willing to endure it for the sake of her baby.

The two ate at a restaurant near the apartment, then went to the supermarket to buy some breakfast and fruits for tomorrow morning.

Then they returned to the apartment.

Harper hadn't been back to the apartment for a few days. Annie had only cleaned up briefly yesterday after receiving Benjamin's phone call.
