Chapter 19 Colbert Knows the Truth

"Yeah, go out with him," Mildred said and nodded.

"So you promised me?"

With a sunny smile on, Chasel stood up and took out the pendant from the brocade box. "Come on. I'll help you put it on."

Chasel stood in front of Eudora after he got up. Eudora frowned and whispered, "It's enough."

Chasel raised his eyebrows at her and said, "I need to finish what I started."

He untied the pendant, approached Eudora, and put it on for her in a posture of embracing her.

Even though it was an act, the intimacy made Eudora blush and her heart beat.

The nurses at the door cheered even more excitedly.

"It's so touching."

"If I did another job, I might be free for a relationship."

"Give her a kiss."

"Yeah. Kiss her."

"Hahaha..."

The nurses watched the fun while taking videos and cheering.

Immediately, Eudora was speechless. She could do nothing with those nurses.

Eudora sighed.

Chasel tilted his head to look at the nurses at the door, smiled, and then kissed Eudora's cheek.

"Wow. That's so lovely."

"I'm so envious."

"I want a dozen of such boyfriends."

"Let's get back to work, or the head nurse will curse us."

Several nurses grinned at Eudora and left.

However, Eudora stood stiffly, glaring at Chasel.

She seemed to say, "Chasel, damn it. Didn't we agree that we would just act? You took advantage of me!"

Chasel smiled and ignored that.

On the contrary, Mildred was in a very good mood. She repeatedly told Eudora, "Eudora, Chasel is so kind to you. You should be nice to him."

When she tilted her head to look at Chasel, she said in a voice that only Chasel and her could hear, "Chasel, you are dead."

Although Eudora and Chasel were acting, Mildred was pleased at noon today. She even finished all the food brought by Eudora and never mentioned the matter of being discharged again.

After Mildred finished her lunch, Eudora and Chasel left the ward.

Mildred sent the two of them into the elevator and said, "Chasel, drive safe."

"Understood, Mrs. Stanford. Please go back and have a rest."

Then, Mildred turned and left.

The elevator doors closed.
