Eudora stepped into the kitchen and brought out the oatmeal. She sat down and ate at Colbert's desk.
They dined quietly, adhering to the principle of "speak not at meals, speak not in bed." It was only when Eudora put down her spoon at the end of the breakfast that she heard Colbert saying, "Breakfast is three hundred dollars per meal, so two days of breakfast is six hundred dollars. The milk is a gift from me. Remember to settle this together."
"Pfft... cough cough..."
Eudora was startled by Colbert's words. "Six hundred? Is your breakfast gold-plated? Why is it so expensive?"
"Considering you are my sister, I've waived the delivery fee," he said, dead serious.
Eudora felt a wave of disdain. "You're doing this on purpose. All because I charged you for the breakfast I bought you that day."
"It's a fair trade. If you don't want to pay, spit it out."
Colbert sat up straight, holding a tissue in his hand, gracefully wiping his sharp lips. Even a simple act of wiping his mouth unwittingly revealed his innate elegance.
"Spit out...?"
