"I'm just back from overseas. Just wait a minute. I'll order a cup of coffee, and I'm really thirsty," she said and waved to the waiter next to her, "Excuse me, could I have a latte?"
"Since we're meeting again, I should return what belongs to you."
Eudora took off the necklace that Wendy had exchanged with her and placed it on the table. "Here's your thing," she said and pointed to the necklace around Wendy's neck, "And this one belongs to me."
"Eudora, is there someone like you?"
Wendy covered her neck with her hand. "You've given it to me, so there's no need to take it back, right?"
Luckily for Eudora, besides her relationship with the Baldwin family, she had no complicated identity background. Otherwise, she would have suspected that Wendy was trying to get close to her with ulterior motives.
"But our relationship is not so good yet."
"Is that so? We went through life and death together." Wendy pushed the necklace back in front of Eudora and grinned. "To be honest with you, I came to find you just because you have a good relationship with Colbert."
Wendy was honest and straightforward about her intentions, without any plan to hide from Eudora.
Eudora looked skeptical. "Who kidnapped you, then?"
Someone who could afford to hire mercenaries was by no means an ordinary person.
"Can I... Can I not say it?"
