"Do you want to eat it?"
Seeing her gaze at him, Colbert thought she wanted to eat a cake, so he picked a piece of cake and handed it over.
Eudora had an elastic mind. The piece of cake he handed over made her think of her adoptive father, and she sighed. "It's all your fault. If you hadn't brought me back, I would have celebrated my birthday with my dad right now."
She curled her lips and sighed again, her face full of disappointment.
At that moment, the man's heart softened a little as if it had been gently rubbed.
He paused, stared blankly at the woman in front of him, and suddenly said, "Do you want to go back now?"
"Now?"
Eudora nodded her head furiously, but the next second she realized that it would take three hours at the fastest to go home from here. How could it be possible to go back to celebrate her father's birthday?
"It's too far away. How can we come back?"
Eudora laughed at herself.
But after she said that, Colbert gave the cake to her and turned the car around.
She froze for a moment and realized that it was not the way to Steele Mansion, so she asked, "Hey, where are we going?"
"Your home."
"My home?"
Eudora's eyes widened in disbelief, "You... you send me home?"
"Forty-five minutes?"
If Eudora had taken it seriously just now, she now felt that Colbert was joking.
She leaned on the co-pilot, silently eating the cake Colbert had eaten. She wanted to see what he was going to do.
Five minutes later, the car arrived at an open area where a helicopter was already parked.
Eudora got out of the car and followed Colbert into the helicopter unbelievably.
It wasn't until the helicopter hatch closed and the propellers buzzed that she realized that Colbert was really going to send her home.
By helicopter!
