Corey ran up the hill in a hurry, fearing that he would die later.
Only with the roar of motorcycles behind him did he stop and stand on the steps, watching Colbert as he rode down the hill.
The smile disappeared from his playful face, and a sad look took its place.
Corey followed Colbert for more than a decade and witnessed him step by step to where he was today. It was that initial indifference and resilience that made Colbert the man he was today.
That was why Colbert was in a position that few could shake.
There had been so many women throwing themselves at Colbert, and he hadn't wavered. Someone even used despicable means to lie in his bed, ending in tragedy.
But Eudora was a special case.
What Corey worried most was that this special would become Colbert's weakness in the future and would make him fall from his pedestal!
Although Corey repeatedly warned Colbert, he did not dare to interfere too much with Colbert's feelings.
Down the hill.
Colbert caught up with Eudora. He stopped beside her and ordered coldly, "Get on the motorcycle."
She did not look at him, however, and went down the hill.
He followed slowly beside her as she walked.
