Her worry made sense.
His feet were much bigger than hers.
"Something is better than nothing," he said slowly.
"How can we walk wearing these shoes? Besides, we're not sure how big this secret room is. I'm tired of walking, and you might hurt your feet too."
Eudora analyzed calmly.
Even though Colbert kindly gave her the shoes, wearing a large size would only add burden and become cumbersome. Moreover, they might even cause blisters on her feet.
Due to wearing high heels, Eudora didn't have any socks on.
What she said made sense.
Colbert's expression turned serious as he pondered for a while, then slowly lifted his gaze to look at her. "There might be another way you can consider..."
He paused in the middle of his sentence, struggling to find the right words.
Intelligent and perceptive, Eudora seemed to understand him without words. Both of them tilted their heads and looked toward the direction of the skeleton they had just encountered.
"It's just a corpse. It won't cause you much harm, so don't be too scared. I'm here with you," he said.
"You talk a lot!"
Although aware that Colbert was trying to encourage her, Eudora wasn't as dramatic as he had imagined.
But no matter what, she still had reservations and pointed at his feet. "Take off your socks and give them to me."
Colbert was somewhat surprised by Eudora's reaction. He looked at her incredulously, took off his socks, and handed them to her.
