Wendy thought Eudora had a bad eye.
"Hello, I'm John Moore," John said.
He smiled elegantly and shook hands with Wendy.
"Well, you guys talk. I have something to do in my company. I'm leaving." Wendy withdrew her hand, bypassed John, and left.
"Okay," John said.
He walked into the ward with the flowers in his arms. Seeing Eudora lying on the bed, he stopped six foot away from her.
The two looked at each other, and they both smiled.
Eudora supported the bed with both hands and sat up. She leaned against the head of the bed and pulled the quilt to cover herself.
At that moment, the quiet ward made them feel somewhat restrained and awkward.
"Yesterday, you..."
"Yesterday, I..."
The two spoke at the same time, but they both paused. They looked at each other and laughed.
"You speak first," John said.
He put the flowers on the table and sat on the chair.
Seeing him being so polite, Eudora felt a little embarrassed.
It was difficult to calm down in front of her first love.
