Colbert responded, "Okay. I promise you."
"Thanks."
She thanked him.
But after hearing that, Colbert suddenly stopped. He tilted his head and stared at her, and his handsome face was full of displeasure. "I don't want to hear you say that to me again."
Eudora curled her lips. "Why are you so domineering?"
"I just don't want to be so distanced."
Eudora was speechless.
For some reason, hearing what he said, a warm current surged into her heart.
The two continued to walk forward and went to the garden. The flowers in the yard were blooming in the snow and covered in white. They were extraordinarily beautiful.
Eudora stood in the snow, admiring the scene, subconsciously taking Colbert's hand with her little hand.
As soon as he felt a warmth in his hand, he glanced at the hand tightly held by the woman from the corner of his eye, and he smiled.
"Well, it is beautiful."
"I told you. Flowers in snow are the best."
Eudora was as happy as a little girl, let go of his hand, ran to the trees, and looked at the flowers with her head tilted. She liked it here very much.
From childhood to adulthood, apart from her adoptive parents and Kevin, it was Colbert who gave her the most care and protection.
At this moment, embraced by him, Eudora only felt immersed in the sweetness of love, and even the air was sweet.
She shook her head. "It's not cold anymore."
He hugged her like this, and Eudora put her hands on his chest, creating a sense of distance between the two of them.
She lowered her head, not daring to look directly into Colbert's eyes.
The cold wind was blowing, and the snowflakes were flying. In the heavy snow, the two of them stood in the garden. It was so comfortable and beautiful, and it was full of romance.
