"John doesn't have a girlfriend, does he? They are very suitable for each other,"
Colbert said inexplicably.
"When did you begin to be a matchmaker?" Eudora's lips curled. "Tsk tsk, are you jealous that I had dinner with John? This is not like you."
"Alas, the girl I fell in love with is outstanding. Although you don't seduce other men, they can't help liking you."
Eudora rolled her eyes. Colbert meant to say that she tried to seduce other men.
The two chatted for a while. Colbert had some work to do, so he hung up the phone.
Eudora leaned on the head of the bed, feeling empty.
She thought of every little thing Colbert did for her and what happened with Chasel in the hotel that night. Colbert knew all this, but he never told her.
Colbert was a proud man, but he tolerated her being offended.
Eudora's heart sank. She felt that she was not good enough for Colbert.
She even felt that the distance between them was getting farther and farther, so far away that she couldn't reach him.
Such an excellent man was worthy of a better girl.
In Camford Country at the same time.
Colbert was having dinner at the villa, talking on the phone with Eudora.
A woman suddenly appeared in the living room, so he made an excuse and hung up.
"Oh, Colbert, how can you eat alone without inviting me?"
The woman had a sexy figure and long curly chestnut hair. In her high-heeled shoes, she walked with a rolling gait to Colbert and snatched his sandwich.
Colbert was not angry. He waved to the maid beside him, signaling her to make another sandwich.
"What are you doing here so early?"
Colbert stared at the opposite woman with cold eyes. Although his tone was a bit cold, he didn't feel disgusted at all.
"It's been a long time. I miss you. The weather is fine. Do you want to go out?" the woman said softly.
"I'm busy,"
Colbert said in a cold voice.
He picked up the document that was placed aside and read it.
Smack.
