"I'll handle this myself. Mom, you can go to bed now." Eudora seldom looked at her seriously.
Mildred hesitated for a moment, then smiled with relief. "My daughter has grown up, and you want to deal with things by yourself in the future. All right, I'll go to bed first."
How could Mildred fall asleep?
It was just to make room for Eudora to deal with the situation outside.
"Mom, good night."
"Um."
Mildred entered the bedroom and closed the door.
Eudora got up and walked to the corridor of the main room, standing there watching the fireworks blooming outside, feeling hard.
But since the decision has been made, it could not be easily reversed.
She turned around and returned to the room, waiting for Christmas Day countdown.
During this period, Colbert kept calling and sending her messages, but Eudora ignored him and ended up blocking him directly.
She didn't even respond to any messages sent by Colton, rejected his calls, and eventually sent him to the blocklist as well.
Eudora sat for a while longer until the TV rang the countdown clock. Eudora held a bunch of fireworks and opened them in the yard, set them up with fear, then rushed to the corridor to watch the fireworks bloom and flash with sparks.
After the fireworks, the whole yard was filled with a thick smell of smoke. She just whispered faintly, "Eudora, Merry Christmas."
She gave herself a blessing and, without looking back, turned around, returned to the room, and went straight to bed.
Today is Christmas; the lights were not turned off at night.
Eudora was lying on the bed bored, couldn't stop thinking about those people outside, and became increasingly irritable. So she started playing games and stayed until four or five in the morning to fall asleep.
She finally fell asleep, but it didn't last long before she was woken up by the phone.
When she turned it on, her phone was full of Christmas messages.
