Howard looked into her eyes. “If you want an explanation, I can give you an explanation. But if you aren’t saying anything, how do you expect me to answer you?”

Abigail wanted to slap him. “I’ve turned a blind eye to your taking little bribes all this time. but I can’t believe you’d still do this when you’re in a place like this!
