“No!” Before Pei Huan could speak up, Bao rejected the idea first. Crossing his arms, Bao glared at Huo Ling angrily. “She’s still a kid. Why should she be my master? I don’t want that!”

Bao placed his hands on his hips as he kept glaring at Huo Ling. Holding a silver needle in one hand, she blinked at Bao’s remark. Suddenly, she burst out laughing. ”Bao, you’re so cute!” “You’re the cute one. In fact, your whole family is adorable!” he retorted. “Bao, you can’t talk to Ms. Huo like that!” Pei Huan broke into a smile, feeling a bit exasperated.

“She’s going to be my master anyway. She’s still a child herself. Why should she be my master?” Bao made it clear that he was unimpressed by his prospective master.

Pei Huan was bemused by his reaction. She looked up at Li Heng, only to find that he had been staring at herself. With so many people around, Pei Huan feigned a cough before casting Li Heng a meaningful look.

Li Heng arched an eyebrow before turning to look at Bao. He beckoned. “Come here to my side!” Bao ran over to Li Heng and sat orderly beside him. “Daddy!”

When Pei Huan tried to stand up from the couch, Li Heng immediately supported her.
