Joe looked at his Mommy, and said,"No, I don't want Daddy to know that I've discovered that he sent someone to follow me. Can you keep that secret for me? This is a secret between you and me. Mommy, you must keep the secret between us, okay?"

Looking at her son's innocent eyes and hearing his pleading voice, Cherry agreed, although she still had no idea about why Joe had asked that.

"Okay, I will keep the secret for you," said Cherry. She thought that it wasn't a big deal. Since Jackson had sent someone to track their son covertly, perhaps he also didn't want Joe to know about it. If their son pretended not to know, then nothing bad could happen.

"Thank you, Mommy!" happily said Joe. If his Daddy didn't know about it, then the two guards would be okay, and he could see Jean frequently without any sort of problem. 'Perhaps things will finally soon clear up!' he thought.

Cherry smiled at him without saying another word.

After she drove her son to the school gate, she drove straight to the company.

Inside the JS Group, the moment Cherry walked into the office, she received an internal call.

She politely answered the phone,"Hello!"

Selina's voice immediately sounded from the other side of the line,"Cherry, it's me!"

"Selina?" said Cherry in a surprised tone.

"Yes. Come to my office now, I have something to tell you," said Selina over the phone.

"Okay, I'll be there soon!" said Cherry, and after she hung up the phone, she walked out of her own office and headed towards Selina's.

When she arrived at her office, Cherry found that Selina was already sitting there waiting for her.

"Selina, what's up?" asked Cherry while standing in front of her.

"I need you to handle some new arrangements," said Selina, and immediately after that handed her a file folder.

"What arrangements?" asked Cherry, while she took the file from Selina's hands.

As she was browsing through it, she heard Selina say,"This is a client that we need to negotiate with this afternoon. I am supposed to talk with him, but I have something important to do, so I need you to talk with this client and sign contract with him if your talk is successful. Caroline has already prepared the contract and she will give it to you later."

"Is this client newly developed?" asked Cherry.

"Yes, he's a new client. You must seize the opportunity," replied Selina.

Selina nodded, and after she saw Cherry leave her office, Selina felt a little sorry because she lied to her. She wasn't going to meet her friends, she was going to talk about some business deals for the JS Group's development, but she couldn't tell that to Cherry because Jackson had told her not to.

After she saw Cherry get in the elevator, Selina said in her heart, 'I'm sorry, Cherry, I have no other choice.'

After she got back to her own office, Cherry browsed through the client data she got from Selina and felt that she was ready to meet him in the afternoon.

Cherry arrived at the appointed place at the scheduled hour and saw that the client was already there waiting for her. Cherry hastily greeted the client and used her professional working style to quickly start talking about business.

After three hours passed, Cherry finally got the contract closed with a satisfied signature. After the client left, Cherry couldn't help but take out the contract to check it again. A big smile appeared on her face and she was very cheerful. She still had excellent negotiation skills, and she still had the skill to catch the client's meaning easily, and to talk with the client friendly.

With satisfaction on her face, Cherry put the contract back into her handbag. The JS Group now had a new fortune, and because it was made possible by her, she felt very proud that the client would bring thick interests to the JS Group.

Cherry then happily walked out of the restaurant and then drove away.

She didn't notice for a moment that there was always a pair of eyes watching her all along. 'She seemed nervous when she first got in, but according to the smile on her face after she got out she must have succeeded.'

While Mond thought about this a smile appeared on his lips. He said to himself, 'The fish has gotten hooked! Let's wait and see, Cherry Shen!'
