If only he loved me too novel Chapter 8

"Dimitri," I said raising my head to look at his face, I could make out his facial features due to all the lights. his face was stone cold and he stared straight ahead, I stared at his face, unknowingly my fingers were hovering over his perfect jaw, but even with all that alcohol in me couldn't bring myself to touch his face, he is like this forbidden fruit that I can't have even if I wanted too.

With that thought, I sighed and dropped my hand, Dimitri glanced down at me but didn't comment and continued to walk ahead with me still in his arms, the walk was not too long because the valet bought his car around.

"Why are you here?" I asked him breaking the awkward silence. "Shouldn't you be in there dancing around your bimbo?" my words were mixed but the jealousy in my voice was as clear as the day or... night, I couldn't hide my feelings even if I wanted too because getting drunk on a heavy night like this was not as good as of an idea I had thought it was, but my encounter with him like this was not in my mind, I have always found myself a ride home on events like these and he has never bothered before to personally escort me out of the party.

He sighed like he already regretted taking me with him "I was just trying to be polite" I didn't expect him to explain but it was nice that he did

"Polite and flirty are two different things" I mumbled closing my eyes as a bright light flashed on my face, the lights of the luxurious house were too much for my drunken self.

"Why are you drunk? you don't like to drink" he asked shifting me in his arms as he tried to open the passenger-side door of his car. He spoke like he knows things about me, things like drinking my heart away, trying to bury the pain I had been feeling from the moment I realized that I was madly and completely in love with him.

"I'm scared" I whispered when he lowered me on the seat and put on my seatbelt, he paused and looked at me, his face was close and his scent was so alluring I couldn't move my eyes away from his, they had this crazy spell on that makes me lose my footing or in this case my breathing., it was getting hard for me not to lean forward and just kiss him to fulfill my desire before its too late.

"Of what?" he asked me his breath smelts like peppermint and whiskey, a very seductive combination, he was teasing me, taunting me of something that I have been deprived of.
