Chapter 618
Comelia said with a grin, “It ain’t just ‘cause he has me that he’s lucky. He’s such a stand up guy so any girl he marries would be a lucky one
Hearing this, Ryan was once again taken aback by Cornelia
The first time he met her, he had a divorce paper in hand, thinking she was cheating on his friend. His first impression of her was not good at all. Back then, all he saw was a pretty face, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
But every time he saw her, she gave him a different impression
She was really a kind hearted, well mannered, and capable girl.
Ryan said. “If you need anything just tell me.”
Cornelia replied, “Just having you around, supporting me, is enough.”
Ryan said, “Suddenly. I’m kinda curious
Cornelia asked, “Curious about what?”
Ryan said, “Between you and Marc, who has the decisive say in making decisions at home?”
They were both strong willed and efficient people.
In the workplace, they had a superior–subordinate relationship, with Marcus being the superior But at home, they were husband and wife. So, who called the shots?
Marcus was always the one giving orders, and Ryan could hardly imagine him taking orders from anyone else
Cornelia didn’t catch his drift and said, “Of course, it’s President Hartley who calls the shots. I’m his assistant, can I defy the chain of command?”
Ryan clarified, Tm not asking about that. I’m asking who’s in charge when you two are alone at home.”
Hearing this, Cornelia blushed, trying to keep a straight face. She stared at him coldly and said, “Don’t ask such questions.”
Ryan said. “Isn’t this the most normal thing between a husband and wife?”
Cornelia retorted, “Why don’t you go ask President Hartley yourself?”
Ryan didn’t have the guts to do that.
About fifteen minutes later, the police arrived.
