He leaned into Cameron, lowering his voice, “Cornelia may have already slept with Marcus… This could have serious repercussions. Apologize to her now, and we’ll settle the score with her after Marcus ditches her” 

Cameron didn’t fancy apologizing to an assistant, but he had no choice now that his own father was demanding it, “Ms. Stewart, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have believed that woman and misunderstood you I hope you can be magnanimous and not hold it against me.” 

The woman in black standing nearby looked flabbergasted. It was him who had asked her to slander Cornelia, but now it was being pinned on her.
