Chapter 828
Ryan nonchalantly replied, “What did you find oul?”
Leonardo said, “I know who Marc’s wife is. Wanna hear?”
Ryan replied, “Oh, you finally caught up”
Hearing this, Leonardo was puzzled, “What do you mean? You knew who Marc’s wife was all along?”
Ryan responded, “Let’s just say I knew a tad earlier than Marc.”
Leonardo retorted “Ryan, you’re full of it! You’re always so busy, how many times do you even see Marc? I spend way more time with Marc than you do. I just found out How could you have known all along? No way, not a chance…”
It wasn’t that Leonardo was unwilling to believe Ryan knew who Marcus‘ wife was, he just couldn’t swallow the fact that he was the last one to know.
He believed that as long as Marcus was in Riverton, as long as Marcus wasn’t working, as long as Marcus was out having fun, he would be right there with him. All these years, he had always thought he was the closest to Marcus, and he would be the first to know about Marcus‘ marriage, apart from the Hartley family
He easily assumed he would be the first to know who Marcus‘ wife was, but it turned out everyone else knew
Except for him!
Although this matter may not have seemed important, it was extremely important to Leonardo. He asked Marcus, “Does Ryan know who your wife is? You have to answer honestly Don’t gang up on me. Don’t lie to me and say he knew”
Marcus said, “He knew all along”
Leonardo was taken aback for a moment, then yelled out. “No way! No way! You’re both liars! You’re both playing me!”
To feel better, Leonardo didn’t want to compare himself to those close to Marcus anymore. He brought up Cameron, who didn’t have a great relationship with Marcus,
“Does Cameron know?”
Marcus just smiled and didn’t reply. But Leonardo got the message. “At least he doesn’t know. If he found out before me, I wouldn’t be able to handle it”
Speaking of Cameron, Leonardo had more to say. The Reese family isn’t doing too well lately. If this keeps up, there might not be a Reese Group in Riverton anymore… Marc, Cameron grew up with us, how about going easy on them this time?”
“Go easy on them? If the Reeses had an ounce of decency on Granger’s birthday, they wouldn’t have hurt Cornelia so ruthlessly.” Marcus sneered, “You know why the Wilsons didn’t involve you in company matters?”
