Chapter 904
After Comelia made a decision, Marcus got on the blower to Dylan right away. Upon receiving the instructions, Dylan nailed it in just a few minutes. He rang Marcus back, “President Hartley, I’ve sorted out the big screen stuff. We’re good to go with the ad anytime. They’ve stopped running the other adverts”
Marcus shot back, Tve sent you the video, play it now”
“Alright” Dylan got the video rolling, but much to his surprise, it wasn’t an advert pushing a product, but a video that made him cringe.
The man in the video had his face clearly visible, while the girl’s face and several revealing parts were blurred out. Yet, he instantly recognized the girl as Cornelia, “President Hartley, is that your assistant Cornelia in the video?”
Marcus questioned, “How did you know it was her?”
Dylan replied. “Comelia’s a looker with a killer figure. Anyone who knows her would recognize her, blurred or not.”
Marcus responded, “No worries, just do as I’ve instructed”
Dylan hesitated, “President Hartley, Cornelia’s been your assistant for over a year. Even if she’s ticked you off, airing her video in public like this isn’t kosher”
Marcus was puzzled why Dylan would think he was out to get Cornelia, “In the video, Cornelia’s the victim. We’re trying to expose the perpetrator”
Dylan added, “Sure, Cornelia’s the victim, but she’s also a girl. Having this aired in public might make it hard for her to find a partner.”
Marcus retorted, “She’s married! She has a husband!”
Dylan asked, “Cornelia’s married? Couldn’t tell, she seems so young to be married. Does her hubby know about this? I bet he’d kick up a fuss if he knew
Marcus argued, “Why would her husband fuss about it if she’s the victim?”
Dylan said, “President Hartley, although that guy didn’t physically harm Cornelia, he did take her to a room and got caught by his wife who accused Cornelia of seducing a married man. That’s a black mark, and no guy would truly be okay with that. Even if her husband says he’s okay with it, I bet he’s not deep down.”
