Chapter 3854: A True Festival! II

Ruination remained quiet, her gaze catching on a particularly striking Living Origin whose body was made entirely of white-petaled vines.

The being walked with slow, thunderous steps while celestial butterflies hovered around it, whispering concepts of restoration and reverence.

"Some of us take forms more... poetic," Bastet chuckled, her ears flicking. "I chose the shape that formed my body the day my Tower was born. There are others like me- plants, animals, stars, even ideas that walk. This is Maes, after all."

Overhead, a storm of white-gold clouds of Beginnings swirled around the grandest structure in all of Maes.

It was the Sanctum of Halorem- the Central Tower of Maes.

It was so tall it vanished into the upper layers of conceptual fog. Surrounding it were dozens of orbiting Wheels of Existence, each larger than Omniverses and small as worlds at the same time, some colliding and intertwining like slow, delicate dances of origins.

The Sanctum itself was shaped like a single, flowing lemniscate- its spirals crossing high above, endlessly looped in symbolism and structure.

Around its base, Living Origin Trees- sentient flora whose leaves were shaped like phrases and memories- bent toward it in reverence as they stayed like this for millions of years!

Lady Bastet landed before its massive arched entrance that was flowing with others.

"Here we are," Bastet said softly.

The doors of the Sanctum were already opened.

And already, from all sides of Maes, beings were arriving- converging toward the Sanctum of Halorem like pilgrims and judges alike.

Some were clothed in armor made of Lattices.

Others wore nothing but simple Authority.

It was a congregation of beginnings and purpose!

And at its heart, one among them now stood newly born.

Ruination, her wings softly folded, said nothing. She only looked up at the towering gate and wondered....When would she return to her Master? With every passing second, how worried was he becoming?!

But at this moment, she could do nothing!

Ruination followed closely behind Lady Bastet as they passed through the grand white arches rimmed with ancient halos of law, stepping beneath the vast inner dome of the Sanctum of Halorem.

The air was saturated with Living Origin Authority. It hummed against the skin like the breath of history, and Ruination could feel every part of her recently formed self resonate against it. Her three pairs of wings folded tightly as she remained quiet and solemn.

Lady Bastet nodded in regal silence to the other Foldless Ones who floated near the wide corridors.

A humanoid Foldless One in robes woven of pale starlight hovered close beside her, his face stoic as he leaned in and whispered, almost too low to hear...

"Did you hear? It’s something to do with Living Paradoxes again."

...!

Living Paradoxes. Always the fucking Living Paradox, as if all of existence revolved around them!

The moment the words reached her, Lady Bastet’s steps halted.

Her eyes narrowed. The halos behind her hissed faintly.

"Then let us hurry," she said coldly, her voice cutting through the thick atmosphere. "We must know exactly what."

...!

They ascended into the Sanctum, the central chamber opening like a white lotus of infinity.

Above and around them, thousands of Living Origins had begun taking their places- floating on radiant white gold pillars that extended from the curved walls, or seated upon slowly orbiting thrones of origins.

All orbiting...Nine Great Gardens.

Each Garden spiraled around the Sanctum’s zenith like planetary sanctuaries, suspended in vast arcs of white and gold.

Their surfaces were lush with vegetation- Ivory Eden-Vines, crystalline Dawnfruit Trees, Ether-lilies of Origin, and floating rivers that shimmered like liquid beginnings.

In their centers, set atop massive Thrones of Origin Script, sat nine ancient Living Origins, their presences unshakable!

Ruination lowered her gaze slightly at the pressure these beings released.

The entire chamber was filled with beings who, at a mere breath, could command the Folds to twist.

In the next moment.

One of the Nine rose.

From the Fifth Garden, a towering figure made of weavings so complex they defied anchoring lifted his hand.

Just the motion silenced the entire chamber!

HUUM!

Ruination could barely breathe. The pressure was not directed at her, but it didn’t need to be. His presence was stifling- a mountain of purpose and beginnings from before the Earliest Cycles.

Then he spoke.

"Many of you were called here to observe something."

His voice was calm. It carried no emotion, only finality.

"This matter concerns the Living Paradoxes. It is best you all see it for yourselves."

...!

He waved his hand.

In the center of the Sanctum, an illusory veil of perfect memory Record.

Its origin was someone nobody here knew or would pay attention to.

What it revealed was unmistakable.

A vast, coffin-lined domain of paradoxical silence.

A Paradoxical Prison.

And within it- a Living Paradox radiating white-gold paradoxical brilliance. Standing before her... a stellar obsidian Young Paradox!

An entity whose presence caused Ruination to tremble!

Ozymandias!

The Living Paradox and the Young Paradox came in contact, and...

...!
