What would they think of Orion if they could turn their back on an elder who had raised him with his own hands? 

If the day came when Orion fell from grace, who’s to say they wouldn’t turn on him too? 

Orion was known for his swift, decisive actions–his methods were ruthless but effective. 

It was a strength, but when applied to family, it could alienate them. Fear could rule, but sympathy would be lost. 

Ken had thought this through thoroughly before mustering his courage to say this. 

For a long while, there was only silence.

He had gone this far and had no intention of playing the dutiful grandson anymore.

“Well, Davy has already arrived on behalf of Highland Group. If everything goes smoothly, the contract will, likely be signed tomorrow morning, and by the afternoon, there will be movement at Mr. Ramona’s place.” 

This was their last chance. 

If they nailed it, things would fall apart between Ramona and Orion. 

Orion’s face grew darker, his eyes as deep and black as the void. 

“Let him do what he needs to. Just cooperate. You can go now.” 

“Understood.” 

Ken left the office and pulled himself together, he was determined to make sure this major task went off 

without a hitch. 

Though he worked for Dros Group, his loyalty was to Orion–he was not bound by Droses’s restrictions. 

The moment Ken stepped out, his phone rang.
