‘I’ll arrange for your transportation,‘ Micah offered, glancing at Darya’s injured ankle.

‘No need to trouble yourself anymore. I’ll have Glen come pick me up,‘ Darya replied, causing a flicker of confusion to cross Micah’s face.

Did this mean Glen would be the one carrying Darya instead?

Soon enough, Glen Chasey rushed into the meeting room, only to be met with a frosty glare from Micah.

Yet Glen Chasey found himself frozen in place, unable to move under Micah’s intense gaze.

‘What are you so scared of?‘ she said. ‘You work for me, not him.‘

‘Let me take you downstairs,‘ Micah interjected, unwilling to wait any longer.

He hoisted Darya from her chair, defying her resistance, and carried her out of the conference room, with Glen trailing behind sheepishly.
