Initially, the situation was progressing precisely the way Kayla wanted it to.

Her original plan was to let Julian see the video and photos. Consequently, he would find Diana repulsive after she was raped by another man.

However, Kayla didn’t expect Julian to ask for her phone. “Here it is… Julian, if I didn’t record the video back then, Luke wouldn’t have let me go! Trust me, I had no intention of hurting Diana!”

Kayla hadn’t stopped crying the entire time. The fingerprints on her face from being slapped was still apparent. She looked incredibly pitiful.

Yet for some unknown reason, Julian was not in the mood to console her.

He was completely focused on the video. In fact, his facial expression was getting gloomier by the second as he kept on watching it.

Kayla had a bad feeling about this. Julian was probably delaying the divorce not because of the debt between him and Diana. It also wasn’t because of any other reason. Instead, it was purely because he was infatuated with Diana!

Kayla knew Diana would get in her way, sooner or later!

A sense of panic Kayla had never felt before began to spread inside her. Suddenly, she burst into tears and knelt in Diana’s direction. “Waaah…! I’m sorry, Diana. I’m so sorry! Regardless of how Luke threatened me, I shouldn’t have agreed to record the video for him. Julian, can you please talk to Diana for my sake? Tell her not to hate me. I will… I’ll be very good to her. Even if she refuses to get a divorce, I’m willing to silently stay by your side without interfering with your marriage!”

In the video, the button on Diana’s shirt happened to be torn off. Her black dress made her skin seem even

fairer in contrast.

Julian became even more furious. “It’s not your fault.”

He looked at Kayla. “I arrived too late.”

Julian deemed Diana guilty of having a change of heart before he could investigate the matter thoroughly. Otherwise, Luke would’ve been either dead or crippled a week ago!

“Wait here.” Julian’s voice deepened. He was temporarily suppressing the murderous intent within him. “I’ll go inside to sort something out.”

He closed the door and moved out of Kayla’s sight.
