Chapter 122 The Art of Persuasion
“Thank you. The Harrises will always be an ally of the Winstons, Nathael said casually, his expression composed as he clinked his glass against the other man’s.
Yet, his words brought evident delight to Cormill as his smile growing even more genuine. “Mr. Harris, you can count on the Winstons as your friends, and I’m always at your service.”
In the midst of vibrant lights and flowing wine, Maggie handed a generous tip to a waiter and swiftly located Shawn’s position.
Shawn, who was in his late thirties, he could be considered quite accomplished based on his current status.
Maggie stood nearby, recognizing his distinct appearance immediately.
He was of medium height, with a buzz cut and faint forehead creases. He wore a dark suit with a subtle gold pattern. While his face wasn’t remarkably handsome, it wasn’t off–putting either.
His eyes, though calculating, were more attractive than the typical shrewd gaze. With a prominent nose, he balanced aggression with diplomacy. His tanned skin, combined with his expensive attire, exuded a rustic opulence in Maggie’s eyes.
It was the typical attire of a self–made wealthy individual, but Shawn was more than just that.
Lucas had thoroughly investigated Shawn’s background, and Maggie couldn’t help but admire the reasons behind his success.
Capable of adapting to the situation, seizing opportunities, and being ruthless when necessary, coupled with a bit of luck, he had risen to success in just over a decade..
Gathering her thoughts, Maggie walked towards Shawn in her high heels
“Mr. Lewis, I’ve heard so much about you.” Maggie smiled, extending her hand in greeting.
At that moment, Shawn was surrounded by two pretty girls, yet he was taken aback by Maggie’s sudden
appearance.
He looked up, his eyes showing a mix of intoxication and shrewdness as he openly appraised Maggie.
What an intriguing lady!
While not his usual fiery and spicy type, she possessed a charm more captivating than the voluptuous women beside him.
Considering himself a pragmatic individual, Shawn found guessing people’s intentions in business. exhausting enough. Thus, he preferred women who were either curvaceous or easily manipulated.
As for the woman before him, he couldn’t quite place her in either category. He had a gut feeling that she was trouble and was not the kind he could easily control.
Shawn stood up, smiling as he shook her hand. “And who might you be?”
“I’m Maggie Adam, representing the Camerons from Aquapolis,” she said, with a smile playing on her red lins.
Shawn was well–informed about Aquapolis, so when Maggie mentioned her background, he immediately knew her purpose.
“Please, have a seat, Ms. Adam. Are you here for jewelry supply as well?” Shawn asked politely. A person like him, who had risen through the ranks in the business world, wouldn’t rashly offend others.
“Mr. Lewis, you’re a smart man. Now that the Camerons and Adams are on bad terms, of course I have to grab the opportunity when I come across it.” Maggie raised her glass in a toast to Shawn.
Shawn reciprocated but remained silent.
As someone seeking cooperation, Maggie took the initiative. “Mr. Lewis, you must be aware that the Adams have dominated the jewelry industry for years and have solid foundation. Although they’ve faced setbacks recently due to supply chain issues, they’ve approached you in hopes of collaboration.
