Chapter 150 Frustrations
“Give her flowers, bags, cars, or even a house if necessary,” Jimmy said nonchalantly as he leaned against the railing.
Nathael frowned. He didn’t agree with Jimmy.
Jimmy smirked mischievously. “You can even beg for her forgiveness at her feet.”
Nathael was at a loss for words.
He ended the call without waiting for Jimmy to say anything.
I was stupid enough to ask him about it.
The following morning.
Maggie woke up early for class, but she felt a little unwell because she stayed up last night..
She received a call from Ronald after arriving at the classroom.
She went to a secluded corner in the corridor to answer the call.
“Maggie, are you with Nathael right now?”
Maggie lowered her gaze. “I almost got him, but Joseph almost ruined it. Dad, do you know what he told Nathael when he stormed in last night??
Ronald was surprised. He had heard bits and pieces from Joseph, but not the whole picture.
“He told Nathael that I approached him with ulterior motives. I don’t know what he wants by doing that. Doesn’t he realise how crucial Nathael’s support is for the Camerons?”
Maggie acted like she was frustrated.
Ronald paused and frowned. “You’re saying that he accused you in front of Nathael?”
“Yes, I didn’t tell him of my whereabouts, and I don’t know how he found out,” Maggie sighed. She tried to make it seems like she was maintaining her composure,
She had thought of what to say last night when she came out of the room.
What Ronald asked her to do was too ridiculous.
Ronald’s expression turned ugly. Continue to pursue Nathael, and I will speak to him later.”
“I had finally gained some trust from Nathael, and my efforts are all in vain,” Maggie sobbed.
After Ronald consoled Maggie, she asked, “Dad, are you guys hiding something from me?”
Ronald’s heart skipped a beat, thinking that Maggie had caught on to something.

Chapter 150 Frustrations
“I was just speculating. I couldn’t understand why Joseph did that, and I wondered if there were other plans.
Ronald felt relieved that Maggie hadn’t uncovered any secrets.
“Don’t be upset. Perhaps he was just upset about what Nathael did to you.”
Maggie acted surprised before asking, “Why would you accuse me of something that I didn’t do then?”
Ronald hadn’t expected this question from her.
He was taken aback by Maggie’s suspicions, and he had simply brushed her off when he consoled her. He didn’t know how to answer Maggie’s question.
“Maggie… I think Joseph just wants to protect you by preventing you from getting involved with Nathael,” Ronald defended Joseph.
He couldn’t come up with any other explanation.
As Maggie was on the verge of success, Joseph’s interference and accusations against her left Ronald baffled.
