Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We (Maggie and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 157

Chapter 157 Go Back To Your Homeland!

Maggie’s throat tightened. Could such a coincidence really happen?

Unable to help herself, she carefully observed Timmothy’s expression. However, his slightly pale and delicate, clean, and harmless face only conveyed a hint of nostalgia for his old friend. There was nothing suspicious about it.

Was she overthinking?

“It seems like someone is looking for you,” Timmothy spoke gently, indicating the direction at the end of the corridor.

Maggie turned her head and saw Nathael approaching. He probably thought she hadn’t returned for too long.

“Then I’ll be going. Goodbye.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Maggie.” Timmothy smiled, his demeanour sunny yet pale, but it felt sincere and

carnest

Maggie nodded and walked to Nathael’s side. “Are you in a hurry?”

Nathael grabbed her hand and glanced in Timmothy’s direction, his voice low. “Why did it take so long?”

“I accidentally knocked his things over. I stopped to help pick them up.” Maggie explained.

Nathael didn’t ask further, holding Maggie’s hand as they returned to their previous spot.

After a satisfying meal, Maggie received a call from her mentor. Nathael whispered, “I’ll go settle the bill.”

Maggie nodded, indicating he could go ahead as she needed time to answer the call.

“There’s no need to rush,” Nathael said softly, leaving with a furrowed brow and a worried expression.

Timmothy, who should have left long ago, did not leave.

Seeing Nathael, the slender man couldn’t help but smile and say, “You’ve come later than I expected.”

The next moment. Nathael’s fist smashed into his face.

Timmothy staggered back from the blow, almost losing his balance and failing to steady himself.

The pain on his cheek was burning hot, accompanied by an intense sensation of heat. Timmothy remained composed, wiping the blood from the corner of his lips with his hand. When he looked at Nathael, he couldn’t help but smile.

The next instant, Nathael grabbed his neck, pressing him heavily against the wall.

Rare fury flashed in Nathael’s eyes, the smouldering fire lending a chilling intensity. His pitch–black eyes bore into the man before him, their depths murky and unfathomable, like the depths of an endless sea.

lightly parting.

With his throat gripped, Timmothy showed neither fear nor anger. He stared directly at Nathael, and at smile emerged on his gradually purpling face. He coughed lightly before saying. “Ahem, after all these years… it’s the first time I’ve seen you… so worked up.”

Nathael chuckled coldly, his smile icy and cruel.

“You’d better listen to me,” Nathael warned with a firm tone. “Otherwise, I’ll make sure you disappear from this world.”

Timmothy stared at him for a few seconds, his normally clean and harmless eyes now displaying a hint of cunning. It diluted the youthful and sunny aura around him, replacing it with a sense of complexity and

darkness.

Timmothy forced a smile, appearing frail and harmless. I’ve always been good at listening to you, haven’t

However, Nathael didn’t soften his expression because of Timmothy’s words. He stared at him for a long time until Timmothy’s eyelids drooped from a severe lack of oxygen..

At this moment, Timmothy still struggles to maintain a smile.

There was neither desperation for impending death nor struggle. Despite the fear of suffocation, there was no physiological response as one would expect.

On the contrary, his eerie calmness was terrifying, so it felt somewhat unsettling.

It was as if he was smilingly embracing death, giving off the illusion that even death couldn’t completely

control him.

Nathael suddenly let go, and Timmothy, leaning against the wall, began to cough violently. “AhemAhem

Due to an extreme lack of oxygen, his body went limp, and the handsome face, now flushed, gained a touch of broken beauty. Timmothy paused for a moment, then looked up at Nathael, speaking in a hoarse voice, “Thanks for letting me go, Nathael.”

With those words, he withdrew his gaze and turned away, walking off

Maggie knocked on the glass door. He looked up, extinguished the cigarette, walked out, and said gently, “Are you done?”

Nathael washed his hands and then took off his coat. He spoke softly, “I won’t smoke outside anymore.

Maggie nodded in satisfaction. That was about right.
