When her hair was completely dry and the whirring sound of the hairdryer ceased, Maggie finally opened her eyes again and looked at herself in the mirror.

“Luster Corporation’s exit has been finalized, but the Camerons still have room for a turnaround.”

Nathael spoke solemnly, unable to clearly articulate the reason. Still, she always felt that her hatred towards the Camerons ran deeper than the reasons she provided.

He thought this might not be enough to satisfy her.

Maggie stood up and hugged his waist as she turned around. “I know. I never expected to bring them down in one go. But after experiencing this, some injuries are inevitable.”

After saying this, she lifted her gaze to him, her red lips curving. “Moreover, sometimes a slow attack is more interesting, isn’t it?”

Maggie paused in her movements, reaching out to play with his hair. Nathael remained still, his black eyes locking onto hers, with a tumultuous desire brewing in their depths, yet restrained and controlled.

Her voice was soft, with a hint of unintentional coquetry.

Nathael didn’t stop her movements, but the veins on his forehead, visible through his pale skin, betrayed a hint of tension.
