Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We (Maggie and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 230

Chapter 230 The Ninth Young Master of the Harrises.

Perched in a lofty spot, with light streaming in from the doorway, Maggie glanced down and spotted man holding an umbrella amidst the rain veil.

He stood in the darkness, his attire seemingly infused with his presence, radiating an air of chilliness and a trace of hostility.

Nathael folded his umbrella, inclining his head slightly to meet Maggie’s eyes.

Suddenly, Maggie realised that Timmothy’s hand was still clasping her arm.

Maggie was taken aback.

What an unexpected turn of events!

What an unfortunate stroke of luck!

Nathael briefly fixed his gaze on Maggie before turning to the man standing next to her.

From a specific viewpoint, the umbrella partially hid Timmothy’s face as he lowered his gaze to meet Nathael’s, a faint grin appearing on his lips, hinting at defiance and insanity amidst the dark night’s backdrop.

After a brief pause, Timmothy shifted his focus and looked at Maggie’s ankle. “Are you injured, Maggie?”

Looking down, Maggie experienced a sudden twinge in her right ankle, as if a needle had pricked her when pressure was applied.

Extending the umbrella to Maggie, Timmothy bent down to check her condition.

Instinctively. Maggie flinched and retreated a few steps.

Timmothy’s extended hand found nothing to make contact with, but he remained unfazed, squatting as he glanced up at Maggie. “Looks like you’ve twisted it. It appears quite swollen.”

Underneath the rain curtain, as she passed him the umbrella and he squatted down, raindrops trickled onto his flawless face.

His eyes sparkled with clarity, his clothes and hair soaked.

Feeling a twinge of remorse, Maggie sheltered him under the umbrella and whispered gently, “I’ll manage to make it home. My boyfriend is coming to fetch me.”

Timmothy stood up, looking down at Maggie as he asked, “Do you genuinely love him?”

“Yes, I do,” Maggie admitted wholeheartedly.

After a moment of contemplation, Maggie remembered something and warned him, “Please, keep my poisoning a secret from him.”

Timmothy regarded her silently for a moment, then offered a faint smile. “So, this stays between us?”

Maggie paused for a moment before continuing. “And Mr. Hudson, maybe a few other doctors.”

She didn’t want to hide anything from Nathael, but she hesitated to reveal her imminent fate if he were to find out about her impending demise.

Not long after, Nathael arrived at the scene.

The terrace door creaked open, and Nathael strolled towards Maggie, his gaze unwavering as he softly. inquired. ‘Are you okay?”

Maggie paused before confessing. Tve sprained my ankle.”

Frowning, Nathael squatted down, gently grasping her ankle in his palm.

This time, Maggie didn’t recoil, keeping the umbrella above his head.

His touch felt cool, with a subtle hint of chill as he gently examined her ankle, causing Maggie to reflexively pull back.

Timmothy remained close, his attention drawn to Nathael’s bared nape, a distinct and playful gleam in his

eyes.

Following a brief pause, Nathael stood tall and carried Maggie in his embrace.

Timmothy stayed in the rain, watching the two figures as they departed before trailing behind silently.

After a short while. Maggie found herself settled in the ground floor living room, a slight worry tugging at her. “Will this have any impact on the upcoming competition?”

While the piano mainly relied on hand gestures, some compositions required the use of pedals, causing Maggie to worry..

“After the swelling goes down, it shouldn’t be an issue. It should heal in about a week,” Naihael reassured softly.
