Chapter 273 Have You Decided?

“Enough! Do you honestly believe Nathael would spare you a second glance with such foolish behaviour? How can you volunteer yourself as a mere plaything? How could I have a daughter as shameless as you?” Ronald scolded angrily.

Sierra’s eyes filled with tears. “You’re being unjust! Since Maggie is so compassionate, why isn’t she your own daughter? I pity you!”

Ronald was so furious that he raised his hand to slap her, but Olivia quickly intervened.

“That’s enough. Considering all that Sierra has been through today, it’s reasonable to assume that her thoughts may not be clear. If we fail to empathise with her, we risk pushing her to her limits,” Olivia said.

Olivia’s words helped to partially calm Ronald down. He did not want to push her to her breaking point despite his anger.

Ronald departed feeling disappointed, unable to mask his sense of disillusionment.

Olivia then dedicated a significant amount of time conversing with Sierra, delving into their family’s circumstances and carefully considering the advantages and disadvantages. Despite Sierra’s silence, she absorbed much of the information shared.

Maggie was nearly ready when she decided to check Twitter.

Suddenly, a message from Nathael popped up on her phone.

“Where are you? I’ll go to you.”

Surprised, Maggie read the message, but before she could respond, Nathael called.

Stepping out of the dressing room, she found a quiet corner to answer the phone. “Hello?” she greeted softly.

Nathael did not inquire about her lack of response; instead, he asked, “Where are you?”

“In the backstage dressing room, with others nearby, Maggie replied softly. It had been a while since she heard his voice and it sounded unfamiliar to her.

Yet, she sensed a newfound peace within herself.

After enduring over ten days of despair, the turmoil in her heart had finally subsided, leaving behind a sense of tranquility. Maggie realised that she could now calmly accept the reality of her impending death.

There was a brief silence on Nathael’s end before he provided an address. “I’ll be waiting for you here,” he said, opening a nearby door.

Glancing at the time, Maggie replied softly, “I’ll be there in half an hour, at the most.

Several minutes later, she found herself standing in front of a door. With caution, she pushed it slightly, revealing the pitch–black room, seemingly devoid of occupants.

Hesitating for a moment, she leaned forward, only to be abruptly yanked inside by her wrist.

Startled. Maggie jumped, nearly letting out a scream.

Nathael grasped her wrist, shutting the door behind them, and gently pushed her against it, leaning in for a kiss.

Maggie’s racing heart gradually eased as she eagerly reciprocated, wrapping her arms around his neck.

The kiss was fervent and unbridled, akin to a long–awaited storm finally breaking loose.

Their lips and teeth intertwined with passion, leaving an indelible yearning etched into their very beings.

Nathael’s strong hand firmly held her slender waist as if seeking to fuse her into his own body, releasing their pent–up desire with abandon.

In no time, his fingers ascended, gently tugging down the zipper on the back of her dress a bit.

The coarse texture of his fingertips grazed against her delicate, smooth skin, causing Maggie to shiver uncontrollably, a faint mist forming on her eyelashes.

His passionate kisses rained down on her lips, neck, and collarbone, trailing downward as if he intended to imprint every inch of her skin.
