Maggie covered Nathael’s mouth when he talked. Then, she snatched his phone and ended the call.

Nathael narrowed his eyes at her puzzledly.

“You shouldn’t have said that.” Maggie scolded him and tossed his phone aside.

Despite not knowing the details of Joyce and Jimmy’s relationship, Maggie wouldn’t want her to be involved in such a dangerous relationship.

“Open the door now or we’ll barge in!” The man outside threatened, impatiently.

Nathael opened the door after Maggie fixed herself. He looked displeased as someone interrupted their

moment.

The man began to question them, but he paused when he recognised Nathael. “Hey, Mr. Harris, it’s you.”

“What’s wrong?” Nathael asked coldly. His glare caused the man to tremble.

“Sorry, Mr. Harris. We didn’t know that it was you. We received a report of misconduct and investigated accordingly. Please forgive us,” the man apologised awkwardly while cursing the person who made the report in his heart.

The younger inspectors behind him looked at Nathael. One of them asked rudely, “Who’s inside?”

The man in charge reprimanded him, “Shut up! Who permitted you to talk?”

Nathael explained, “I fought with my girlfriend, so I’m here to coax her.”

Maggie came out of the room and went to Nathael’s side.
