Chapter 332 Schemes.
Maggie paused and spoke calmly, “Fine. It doesn’t matter whether I practice. You won’t surpass me anyway
Sierra’s anger flared up once again upon hearing this..
Who do you think you are? Are you so sure you’ll win? Maggie, I suggest you don’t get too cocky too soon. We still don’t know who the ultimate winner will be!” Sierra, wearing a nightgown, said fiercely, her face. twisted with rage.
Maggie glanced at her and chuckled. “Well, let’s just wait and see.”
With that, she grabbed the manuscript she was holding and headed back to her bedroom.
Sierra stood there, boiling with anger, her fists clenched tightly at her sides.
One day. I’ll kick that b*tch, Maggie, out of the Camerons!
And Nathael… I’ll definitely win that man over!
Sierra stood still for a moment, calming herself down before turning to go back to her room. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a manuscript on the floor next to the piano stool.
Sierra hesitated for a few seconds before picking up the manuscript.
It turned out to be a sheet music that had been revised multiple times–in other words, a composition by Maggie.
Sierra furrowed her brow and unconsciously glanced in the direction of Maggie’s room. Without further inspection, she quickly stashed the manuscript away and returned to her bedroom.
In her bedroom, Sierra sat at the desk and unfolded the manuscript dropped by Maggie. She lightly tapped her fingers on the tabletop, trying to play out the tune of the entire piece.
She didn’t dare to use the piano, afraid of being overheard by Maggie.
But after going through it twice, Sierra’s expression turned completely sour.
Is this really composed by Maggie?
Does she truly have this level of skill?
Sierra felt like there was a lump in her chest, making it hard for her to breathe.
Sierra remained silent for a while, contemplating something.
A few minutes later, she took out a piece of paper, copied the final draft, and then sent it to her piano teacher’s WhatsApp. She then sent a voice message. “Mr. Reed, what do you think of this piece?”
Sierra waited anxiously, and twenty minutes later, her teacher, Ivan Reed, called.
“Sierra, who composed this piece of music?” Ivan asked directly.
“The music is exceptionally well–written, captivating, and offers profound insights into life. It showcases resilience in the face of adversity and death, as well as the courage and determination to overcome challenges…” Ivan said enthusiastically.
Despite his opportunistic nature, he did possess some talent and a genuine passion for the piano.
Encountering a remarkable piece of music inevitably stirred his excitement.
After learning piano from himany years, Sierra could tell from his tone that he admired this piece
of music. She tightened her grip on the phone and asked again. “So, how does this piece compare to the previous one I submitted?”
Ivan naturally understood what Sierra meant by the previous one. That piece of music was indeed her own creation, prepared for the third round of the competition.
After undergoing revisions by several experts, the revised version was indeed impressive. Strictly speaking. the transitions were even smoother than this one.
But for some reason, Ivan showed a preference for this particular piece.
“I feel like this one’s superior. The previous lacked momentum and had heavy–handed craftsmanship. This piece flows with naturalness and intensity, and it resonates more, Ivan responded slowly.
