“Where do you intend to depart to?” he queried.
Trapped, Maggie edged backward until her spine met the cabinet, eliciting. a grimace of discomfort.

Maggie was furious!
Though she really didn’t want to take that medicine, didn’t she want to stay alive?
“What are you doing? Leo’s been waiting by the door!” Maggie’s exasperation was palpable.
Maintaining his composure, Nathael cast a glance her way and suggested nonchalantly, “Why not handle everything via phone? Coming over in person, now that’s quite attentive.”
Maggie was infuriated to the point of exasperation by his words. “I’m just going to see him for ten minutes. What’s the big deal? Is it necessary to be angry about it?”
Nathael gave her a firm answer. “Yes, it is.”
Maggie felt a surge of breathlessness, almost fainting from the shock. She pursed her lips and turned her head to look out the window, deciding to ignore him.
Nathael spoke softly, “Sierra has hired someone to harm you. They will act in the next few days. Decide whom you want to meet after this matter unfolds.”
Maggie was momentarily taken aback before composing herself. “Is she targeting me?”
“Yes, her aim is to blind you, disfigure your face, and then overdose you with drugs,” Nathael murmured, his countenance darkening with each word.
