Chapter 66 You Really Want to Pick a Fight, Huht
Nathael chuckled, then he gently pinched her chin and passionately kissed her lips.
“You really want to pick a fight, huh?”
Maggie was taken aback. Before she could swallow the egg in her mouth, he had taken half of it. Her cheeks flushed red.
“H–Hey!”
Maggie never anticipated such a bold move from him. She felt like she was melting; even her hand holding the plate began to tremble as she suddenly felt weak.
Nathael had no intention to let her get away. He took the plate from her hand and placed it on the dining table. Without waiting for Maggie’s response, he lifted her up, pushed her against the table, and kissed her deeply.
Maggie’s breath quickened. She instinctively tried to pull back, but Nathael drew closer, leaving her with
no escape.
Perhaps sensing her tension, Nathael softened his approach, causing Maggie to relax compared to her earlier stiffness in the car.
As she gazed at his handsome face inches away from hers, her eyes involuntarily shut, and she reciprocated.
After a moment, Maggie’s phone abruptly rang, shattering the silence.
Maggie slowly opened her dazed eyes, feeling wobbly.
Only then did Nathael regain some composure. He reluctantly kissed her neck and huskily murmured, “Tastes good.”
Maggie’s eyelashes fluttered. Her eyes were hazy, and her lips were tingling and numb.
Blushing, she pushed him away. After jumping off the table hastily, she straightened her disheveled clothes and walked to the living room while casually answering the phone. “Hello.”
As she spoke, Maggie noticed her hoarse voice.
“Maggie, how did your conversation with Leo go? When are you coming back? Do you need me to pick you up?”
The phone number belonged to Olivia, but Joseph was on the line.
Glancing at the wall clock, Maggie/saw it was ten o’clock at night. It was already quite late.
With Sierra’s fiasco, the Camerons were likely restless and awaiting updates, hence the urgency.
“No need. I’ll be back soon. Maggie firmly declined.
Without waiting for Joseph to respond, she ended the call.
Chapter 66 You Really Want to Pick a Fight, Huh
kiss had left a hint of crimson on his usually pale lips, adding to his allure.
“You’re leaving?” Nathael’s gaze locked onto her, his voice deep..
“Yes. Maggie forced herself to look away, feeling as if she was engaged in a forbidden affair.
In that moment, she felt like a scoundrel who was fleeing the scene.
Shaking her head, Maggie pushed away those unsettling thoughts. This was Nathael, the man who had spanked her earlier!
Besides, he had stolen her poached egg.
With that realization, any lingering reluctance in Maggie’s heart vanished, and she turned to head to the bedroom to change.
Upon her return, Nathael had also tidied up. Today, he opted for a more casual look, foregoing a tie and leaving a few buttons on his shirt collar undone. He exuded a more primal aura compared to his usual cool demeanor.
“I’ll drive you,” Nathael stated in a low voice. He behaved as if the earlier passion had been stored away and nothing had transpired.
