“People like us have similar backgrounds, similar statuses, and even similar resources. At first glance, we seem to be natural partners.”
“But because everything is so similar, there are too many factors to consider when we interact, and no one is convinced of the other person’s intent. The only person who we can rely on is ourselves.”
“The crippled Brown had seen this a long time ago, so he simply refused to cooperate, but we foolishly didn‘t understand.”
The little prince looked at Lord Alvarado with a gloomy expression and said lightly, “Look, what he said came true now.”
The corners of Lord Alvarado’s mouth twitched. A young man sitting in a wheelchair with a warm smile appeared in his mind. After silently calling him a monster, Lord Alvarado dismissed these thought.
“Alright, just tell me, are you going to cooperate with me or not?”
“What are you going to do?” The little prince asked.
“We’ll just do what Jasper wants us to do, otherwise it’ll be hard to explain ourselves when he asks about this in the future. However, this does not prevent us from issuing our own orders at the same time, such as withdrawing a part of the funds and using it to purchase the stocks that Quantum Fund longed.”
“On the one hand, this can potentially make up for our losses, and on the other hand, it can be considered as putting pressure on Quantum Fund.”
The little prince heard these words and pondered for a moment Just as Lord Alvarado was getting impatient from waiting, he nodded slowly and said, “Yes, but you have to take good measures. Right now is not the time for you to fall out with Jasper.”
